The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic Dog Bed is for dogs of all ages.  Although orthopedic dog beds are often used for older dogs with joint problems and arthritis, they are actually beneficial for younger dogs as well.

This type of dog bed can help preserve your dog’s joints while they are younger to keep their mobility good for years to come.

Packaging

The Dog’s Bed will come in a standard shipping box.  Of course, depending on the size of the bed you ordered this box will be larger or smaller.

I ordered an XL in size so the box is pretty big.

Inside the box, The Dog’s Bed will be rolled up in plastic.

Unpackaging and Set Up Process

To set up this bed, simply take the rolled-up bed out of the box and take it to a place in the house where there is enough room for it to lay while it expands.

When you remove the plastic, lay out the dog bed on the floor.  It will be rather flat and that is normal.  These dog beds can take up to 24 hours to fully expand into a usable bed for your pup. 

Come back the next day and you will have a fully expanded dog bed ready to use!

The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic Dog Bed is made of a high thickness memory foam that comes in a variety of sizes to accommodate both smaller and larger dogs.  The bed is waterproof and comes with a removable cover that is super easy to clean. 

The covers come in different color and trim options, but most of these colors are darker colors not bright and vibrant colors. 

As an orthopedic bed, it is a great bed for dogs with mobility issues such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, and elbow dysplasia.  Even if your dog doesn’t have any mobility issues this bed is still wonderful to help preserve your pup’s joints over time.

Due to the dense mattress, it also helps to prevent those annoying elbow calluses our dogs get from laying on hard surfaces over time.

The Dog Bed is also a great bed for dogs who are recovering from surgery as it provides a comfortable calming surface for them to rest while recovering.  Also, it keeps the pressure off their body it will prevent pressure sores for dogs who need to lay around for many days or weeks to recover.

My Experience With The Dog’s Bed

I would definitely recommend The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic Dog Bed.  I have owned this dog bed for two and a half years and it is in the same condition as the day I purchased it.  The foam is still strong and supportive and I have not had any issues with the bed at all.

My German Shepherd loves the bed!  As she gets older, I wanted her to have a supportive surface to rest on and this bed fits the bill.

I have even laid on this bed myself, and even under my weight (double that of my GSD), the bed does not fully sink to the ground.

• The bed is cool to lay on – it doesn’t retain heat
• Waterproof fast drying cover
• Replacement covers available for purchase

What I Don’t Love:

• The cover I selected is not very soft and plush – I added a softer cover on top of the one provided
• Cover color options are all kind of similar – only the trim is different on many styles
• Larger bed sizes are more costly

Final Thoughts

The Dog’s Bed Orthopedic Dog Bed is a wonderful dog bed option for dogs of all ages and sizes.  Although this dog bed works especially well for senior dogs or dogs who have mobility issues, dogs of all ages can benefit from a support comfortable surface to sleep on the long term.

I’ve had this dog bed for over two and half years and the density of the bed hasn’t changed.  I highly recommend this product for a long-term dog bed that will hold up for years to come!
